Opened on schedule and in time for the start of a new semester, this signature kitchen by renowned chef Sam Choy is a distinctive on-campus dining option for Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) students. Contract scope included a full interior gut, hazmat abatement, storefront replacement and extensive MEP upgrades to create a 2,400sf full-service kitchen and nearly 4,000sf of indoor/outdoor dining. In addition to working around HPU’s final exam schedule at the start of the project and neighboring tenants throughout the course of construction, increased environmental regulations along the harbor’s edge intensified the project complexity.
