Gary Oda, President
Gary has guided Allied Builders System successfully for nearly two decades. Under his leadership, Allied Builders significantly increased its annual revenues despite challenging economic conditions faced by the construction industry. Recognizing talent and work ethic, his vision to grow Allied Builders into company well-known for excellence and construction diversity has been realized. Up from just $25 million in 2000, Allied Builders maintains annual revenues of $65-75 million.
A successful entrepreneur and developer, Gary understands the importance of strong partnerships and client relationships. Over the years, his keen business acumen has contributed to many winning development projects within Hawaii, as well as other US and international locations. Like so many of the projects by Allied Builders, Gary focuses his expertise on projects that help to renew and rejuvenate communities and neighborhoods. His personal experiences as a project leader guide the Allied Builders team to similar success with commercial construction. With consistent performance and trustworthiness, Allied Builders now maintains a bonding capacity of $350 million.
Gary was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to be part of a 13-member delegation group of Japanese American leaders throughout the United States. The resulting exchange of information with Japanese leaders in similarly diverse sectors – government, business, politics, education, healthcare, nonprofit and cultural – provides Gary with valuable insight to lead Allied Builders forward and tackle new challenges.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Hawaii. He serves on numerous boards, such as Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, Heart Ball Executives International, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce and other noteworthy organizations.
